Family Owned and Operated
Our honey is made by locally raised bees of both the Italian and Carniolan lineage. very little distinguishes honey from either hive but we like to keep them separate to please the most discerning honey connoisseur. Much of the nectar for our honey comes from apple blossoms which bud off the orchards bordering the property. This gives our honey a unique flavor that other wildflower honey does not possess.
The hives for our bees are carefully crafted on site and decorated to please the eye. You won't see any boring white hives here. The hours spent constructing homes for these miraculous creatures are a testament to the commitment to our bees.

Honeybee Swarms
In the spring and early summer, some hives will produce a new queen and attempt to start a new colony. The old queen will leave with half the workers from the hive and look for new residence, this is called a swarm. Oftentimes, you can find this cluster of bees clinging to a tree branch or in the bushes while scouts venture off to find a suitable new home. These swarms will typically relocate before nightfall although sometimes it can take longer for the colony to find a new home.
If you see a swarm, do not panic! Simply contact us and we will gladly rehome the ladies free of charge! |
